Biggest Contributors To The 2012 Election Thus Far →
Goldman Sachs, Comcast, and AT&T continue to top the list of largest contributors to political campaigns. That is, at least for establishment candidates who support big government. The same big government that’s here to protect us from big corporations.
Unsurprisingly, candidates like Ron Paul who want free markets and minimal government interference are treated differently by these corporations. Instead, Dr. Paul receives most of his donations from the US Army, US Navy, and US Air Force (among other small donors).
If you think the government will protect you from corporations (who, in a free market, cannot force you to do anything), you might want to reconsider. These corporations disagree with you, and they’re betting heavily on it.

Power players always get to the power centers, to influence government. Even if campaign contributions were completely banned, power players would figure out how to get to the centers. The only way to stop this is by eliminating the power centers.
